Comparison
SpotAngels is a parking app that maps free and paid parking, garage deals and street parking rules city by city. TrafficWardenAlert does the other half of the same job: it tells you when a traffic warden is spotted near the car you have already parked, so you can move it before a PCN is printed. One helps you find the space. The other is still watching the space after you walk away.
The detail below is what we could see on SpotAngels' public pages and app store listing when we last checked in November 2026. If they change it, their own listing is the better source.

Finding somewhere legal to leave the car is genuinely strong. It maps free street parking, meter hours, time limits, residential permit zones and garage prices, and it remembers where you parked so it can nudge you when street cleaning starts. If the question is "where do I put the car, and will I have to pay", it answers that better than we do, and it covers cities outside the UK.
Parking rules do not walk up your street. A warden does. Our members report the officer they can see, and if your plate is registered nearby you get told straight away — push, sound and email — rather than finding out from a yellow bag on the windscreen. The free parking map sits on the same screen as those sightings, so you can check a spot and see who has been patrolling it. Reporting pays too: other members can tip the driver who spotted the warden.
Coverage is people, not postcodes. Where drivers report, alerts go out; where nobody reports, the map is quiet. We are live across the UK and Gibraltar, but a street with no members in it will be thin on the ground. The honest check before you join is the live map — look at your own street, the last few days of pins, and judge it yourself.
Every alert comes from a driver who was there. Other members confirm it or flag it, and three false-alarm flags take the pin off the map without anyone having to ask. Each member carries a trust score built from confirmations against disputes, so a spotter who keeps crying wolf stops being believed. No system is perfect; this one is designed to punish false reports rather than reward volume.
Yes. When another member tips you for a sighting, it lands in your balance, and you ask for a withdrawal by bank transfer or PayPal from your dashboard. Tipping is optional and nobody is charged for receiving an alert. If a payout is owed and something has gone wrong, email support@trafficwardenalert.uk and a person will sort it out.
To be straight with you: we can't promise you'll never get a ticket. A warden can turn up before anyone has reported them. What we do is give you a head start to get back to the car and move it.
Who it's not for: if you park on your own driveway, or you want a guarantee, this isn't for you. Alerts only reach you where other drivers are reporting.
Register a plate in about 30 seconds, free, no card needed. If your street is quiet, you will see that on the map before you join.
