These Terms of Service govern your use of TrafficWardenAlert UK. By using this app, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering and using TrafficWardenAlert UK, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service. By using TrafficWardenAlert, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly permit users under 18 to register.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to use TrafficWardenAlert UK only for lawful purposes. You shall NOT:

  • Submit false, misleading, or defamatory reports about wardens or locations
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or community members
  • Use the app to facilitate illegal activities or evade legitimate parking enforcement
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or circumvent platform security
  • Impersonate another person or provide false identity information
  • Spam, flood, or abuse the reporting or messaging systems
  • Share registration plates or personal data of others without consent

4. Community Standards & Report Accuracy

Warden reports are community-driven. While we moderate reports, we cannot verify every submission. By submitting a report, you confirm:

  • The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • You are reporting a genuine warden sighting, not a false alarm
  • Any photographs provided are authentic and recent
  • You will not submit duplicate or malicious reports

False or abusive reports may result in account suspension or termination.

5. Liability Disclaimer

TrafficWardenAlert UK is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind.

We are NOT responsible for:

  • Parking tickets, fines, or penalties you receive (you are responsible for parking legally)
  • The accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of warden reports from other users
  • Service downtime, data loss, or technical failures
  • Third-party actions, hacks, or breaches (beyond our reasonable security measures)
  • Personal injury or property damage related to your use of the service
  • Business losses or consequential damages arising from use of the app

⚠️ Always obey traffic laws and parking regulations. TrafficWardenAlert is an informational tool, not a substitute for legal parking compliance.

6. Payment Terms

Vehicle registration (optional premium feature) costs £1.50 GBP (one-time). Payments are processed securely via Stripe.

Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds after purchase. Vehicle registration is a one-time fee with no recurring charges. If you experience a technical issue, contact support@trafficwardenalert.uk within 7 days of purchase.

Tipping & Rewards

Tips sent to reporters are final and non-refundable. You may only tip if you are the vehicle owner receiving the alert.

7. Account Termination & Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Repeatedly submit false or malicious reports
  • Harass or abuse other users
  • Violate applicable laws or regulations
  • Breach these Terms of Service

You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

Your reports remain your property. By submitting a warden report, you grant TrafficWardenAlert UK a non-exclusive license to display, process, and share your report (location, photos, behavior type) with other registered users for the purpose of alerting vehicle owners.

Your identity (name, email, vehicle plates) is never publicly displayed without your consent.

All TrafficWardenAlert branding, logos, and platform design are owned by TrafficWardenAlert UK.

9. Third-Party Services

TrafficWardenAlert uses third-party services for payments (Stripe), notifications (Apple Push Notifications, Firebase), and email delivery (Resend). Your use of the app constitutes acceptance of their terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their actions or failures.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

TrafficWardenAlert UK shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to TrafficWardenAlert UK in the preceding 12 months.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by English law and the jurisdiction of English courts.

If a dispute arises, you agree to attempt to resolve it amicably with our support team at support@trafficwardenalert.uk before pursuing legal action.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of TrafficWardenAlert is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
